The Goldstar FC‑200 is a MSX1 home computer released in 1984 by Goldstar (now LG), manufactured in South Korea. It is essentially the export version of the Goldstar FC‑80, localized for European markets.
It features a Z80A CPU running at around 3.58 MHz, along with 64 KB of RAM and 16 KB of VRAM. The video generator is the TI TMS9929 (NL version), supporting standard MSX1 graphics modes.
The machine includes a single cartridge slot and a built-in light‑pen holder. It offers composite video, RF output, a cassette interface, Centronics parallel port, and two joystick/general‑purpose ports. It shipped with MSX BASIC 1.0 in ROM. |
