Philips NMS8250

Released in 1986, the Philips NMS 8250 is a desktop-style MSX2 computer built by Sanyo for the European market, particularly in Belgium, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. Aimed at professional users, it came with a built-in 3.5-inch double-sided floppy disk drive, and the case had room for a second optional drive.

The computer featured two cartridge slots, allowing simultaneous use of software, memory expansions, or peripherals. It included a full-size detachable keyboard, which was available in various national layouts such as QWERTY, AZERTY, and Spanish.

Connectivity options were generous, including RGB/SCART output, composite video, RF out, cassette interface, parallel printer port, RS-232 serial port, joystick ports, and a connector for an external floppy drive.

The system is powered by a Z80A CPU alongside a Yamaha MSX Engine, offering full MSX2 compatibility. It was sold in both a single-drive version (NMS 8250) and a two-drive version (NMS 8255).
