The ColecoVision Flashback is a retro gaming console released by AtGames in 2014. Designed as a plug-and-play device, it allows users to experience classic ColecoVision games without the need for original hardware or cartridges. The console connects directly to a television via composite video (RCA), providing a straightforward setup for nostalgic gaming sessions.

This console comes with 60 built-in games, including titles like Zaxxon, Venture, Space Panic, Pepper II, and Jumpman Junior. These games are emulated to run on the Flashback system, offering a faithful recreation of the original experiences. Notably, the Flashback does not support playing original ColecoVision cartridges, as it lacks the necessary cartridge slot.

The design of the ColecoVision Flashback closely resembles the original ColecoVision console, featuring authentically styled controllers. It also includes limited edition controller overlays to enhance the gaming experience, mimicking the original setup where overlays were used to define button functions. The console operates on an ARM-based processor, differing from the original hardware’s Zilog Z80 CPU.
