Nintendo NES Mini

The Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System (NES Mini) is a miniature version of the original NES console, released by Nintendo on November 11, 2016. This compact device comes preloaded with 30 classic 8-bit games, including titles like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid. The console connects to modern televisions via HDMI and is powered through a micro-USB port, though it does not include an AC adapter.

The NES Mini features a design that closely resembles the original NES, with a front-loading cartridge slot for aesthetic purposes, though it does not support physical game cartridges. The package includes one NES Classic Controller, which can also be used with the Wii and Wii U for Virtual Console games. Additional controllers were sold separately.

Notable features of the NES Mini include multiple suspend points for each game, allowing players to save their progress at any point, and three display modes: Pixel Perfect, 4:3, and CRT filter, to replicate the look of playing on a traditional television. The console does not support online connectivity or downloadable content, and its controller cables are notably short, which may limit gameplay flexibility.
