It features a 2.1-inch TFT display with a resolution of 176 x 208 pixels, providing a compact screen for gaming and communication. Powered by a 104 MHz ARM920T processor, the device operates on the Symbian OS 6.1 with Series 60 v1.0 user interface.

The N-Gage QD supports GSM mobile networks and includes Bluetooth connectivity for wireless communication. It offers a memory card slot compatible with MultiMediaCards (MMC) for storage expansion. The device is equipped with a 1070 mAh Li-ion battery, providing up to 3.5 hours of talk time and approximately 240 hours of standby time.

Notable features include a redesigned form factor for improved ergonomics, a dedicated navigation pad, and a separate “OK” button for easier navigation. However, certain features present in the original N-Gage, such as MP3 playback, FM radio, and USB connectivity, were omitted in the QD model.
