Panasonic FZ-35S

The Panasonic FZ-35S is a multimedia kiosk system based on the Panasonic M2 architecture, a platform originally intended for a next-generation video game console. Released in 1998 for commercial and industrial use, the FZ-35S was not a consumer product but rather a specialized interactive media player designed for applications like retail kiosks, education, digital signage, and demonstrations.

Internally, it uses the same high-performance M2 chipset developed by Panasonic and 3DO, offering capabilities such as real-time 3D graphics, DVD-Video playback, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 decoding, and CD-ROM compatibility. It featured a built-in DVD-ROM drive and supported optional storage via SuperDisk (LS-120) or PCMCIA flash memory. Some configurations also included modem or Ethernet ports for network connectivity.
