The Sega Saturn HST-0019, released in Japan in the mid-1990s, is a later revision of Sega’s fifth-generation console known commonly as the “White Saturn.” Despite the name, its outer shell is actually a very light gray, closely resembling the later Dreamcast, with round gray Power and Reset buttons and a pink Open button. It lacks the drive-access LED found on earlier models.
Internally, the HST-0019 retains the dual Hitachi SH-2 CPU architecture, CD-ROM drive, cartridge slot, and full compatibility with the Saturn game library. The redesign focused on cost efficiency and usability improvements, such as easier-to-press round buttons and a recessed Open button. |
