Sheen M1200

The Sheen M1200, released in 1978 in the United Kingdom, is a color clone of the RCA Studio II home video game console. While the original Studio II was limited to black-and-white graphics, the Sheen M1200 delivered color visuals via the PAL standard and maintained compatibility with the same cartridge-based software library.

The console featured dual integrated numeric keypads for two-player input, matching the Studio II’s unique control scheme. It was powered by the same RCA 1802 microprocessor and relied on cartridges that contained the display and game logic circuits, similar to other consoles in the PC-50x family.

Although the M1200 offered slightly enhanced visual output due to its color capability, gameplay remained simplistic, with minimal sound and rudimentary graphics. Some game cartridges, such as Star Wars and Pinball, were regionally branded or styled for the UK market.
