The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP-1004 White) is a revision of the original PSP-1000 series, released in 2005. It shares the same 5-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 480 × 272 pixels and support for 16.77 million colors, along with minor hardware improvements and enhanced power efficiency compared to the PSP-1001.

The system retains the 333 MHz MIPS R4000-based CPU and 32 MB of RAM, and supports UMD games and movies as well as the Memory Stick Duo for storage. It also features Wi-Fi connectivity, multimedia playback for music, video, and photos, and the classic PlayStation button layout adapted for handheld use.

Compared to the original PSP-1001, the PSP-1004 offers slightly longer battery life and a minor reduction in weight, improving portability. The console is released in white, distinguishing it visually from the black variant, while keeping the same slim and sleek design that defined the PSP series.

Functionality and multimedia capabilities remain consistent with the PSP-1001, providing an identical gaming experience with minor ergonomic and efficiency enhancements.
