Description:
Marsport is a sci‑fi arcade-adventure where you assume control of Commander John Marsh sent to a Sept‑occupied Martian city to retrieve crucial plans for Earth’s defense. The game unfolds across ten interconnected zones—such as Stores, Administration, and Central Computer—where exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat blend seamlessly. Locations are presented in a rotated side-view system reminiscent of earlier titles like Tir Na Nog and Dun Darach, with junction-based screen transitions and occasional action segments where players must shoot insectoid enemies and rogue robots.
The science-fiction setting is atmospheric, and while the graphical presentation is strong for its era, sound is more subdued. Marsport remains one of Gargoyle’s most action-driven adventures. Rebound’s budget reissue brought this ambitious title to a wider audience at a lower price.
