Gremlins is an action game based on the 1984 film produced by Steven Spielberg. Set just after midnight in Billy’s living room, the game pits the player against a chaotic mix of mischievous Mogwai and dangerous Gremlins. You control Billy from a third-person perspective and must complete two main tasks: return all Mogwai to their cage in the upper right corner of the screen and eliminate all active Gremlins using a sword.

Each level must be completed before sunrise at 6:00 AM. Players can either finish their objectives or simply survive until the time runs out, though higher scores are awarded for completing the tasks. Bonus points are also given for every Mogwai returned safely.

The game introduces hazards such as food items that can transform Mogwai into Gremlins if eaten, as well as puddles of water that cause both creatures to multiply. Other obstacles like refrigerators, popcorn machines, and televisions create distractions or spawn additional food, increasing the difficulty. Players are also equipped with limited-use flash cubes that can temporarily stun enemies when the action becomes overwhelming.

With each level, the game grows more intense as the number and speed of creatures increases. Gremlins combines quick reflexes, strategic movement, and careful resource management to deliver a fast-paced experience that stays true to the spirit of the movie.
