Invasion aus dem Weltall

Genre: Shoot ’em up
Developer: Unknown
Publisher: Palladium
Year: 1981
Platform: Palladium Video Computer Game

Invasion aus dem Weltall is a shoot ’em up released for the Palladium Video Computer Game, one of several German rebranded versions of the Emerson Arcadia 2001. The game was distributed under Palladium’s label, a company known for publishing localized versions of Arcadia titles in Germany. Like other games in the Arcadia library, it was sold on ROM cartridges compatible with the system.

The gameplay centers around repelling alien attackers descending from space, a theme common among early 1980s video games. Players control a cannon at the bottom of the screen and must shoot incoming enemies before they reach the ground. While details about variations or scoring systems are scarce, the game follows the traditional single-screen shooter format inspired by arcade hits of the era.

The title reflects the strong influence of Space Invaders (1978), which shaped much of the shoot ’em up genre during this time. Invasion aus dem Weltall offered Arcadia owners in Germany a localized equivalent, ensuring that the console’s European market could access the popular alien invasion theme.
