Description:
Ace of Aces is a World War II combat flight simulator developed by Artech Digital Entertainment and published by U.S. Gold in 1986 for the Atari 8-bit family. The player assumes the role of a pilot flying a British RAF Mosquito long-range fighter-bomber. The game features various missions, including intercepting German bombers, destroying V-1 flying bombs, sinking U-boats, and bombing enemy trains. The gameplay alternates between cockpit views for aerial combat and overhead perspectives for bombing runs. The Atari 8-bit version was released on both cassette and disk formats and later as a cartridge for the Atari XEGS in 1988. The game was developed by Distinctive Software, a Canadian company known for its work on other Atari 8-bit titles.
