Description:
Beta Fighter is a fixed-screen sci-fi shooter released by Artworx Software Company for the Atari 8-bit series in 1982. The player pilots a spaceship horizontally across a stylized Martian landscape, firing upwards to destroy waves of alien “Kreloids” that approach from the sides and above. Each ship destroyed awards 25 points, and the player can withstand up to 10 hits before receiving a game over. When hit, the ship respawns at the left edge of the screen. The game supports single- and two-player alternating modes and uses joystick or keyboard input to maneuver and fire.
