Genre: Action, Puzzle

One Man and His Droid is an action-puzzle game developed by Clive Brooker and published by Mastertronic. Originally released in 1985 for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64/16, and ZX Spectrum, it became available on Atari 8-bit computers in 1986.

Gameplay revolves around the player controlling a dog-like droid on the planet Andromadous. The objective is to herd alien creatures called “Ramboids” (male alien sheep) into teleporters. Levels take place in multi-room caverns, where the droid can walk, tunnel, or dig through walls to guide the Ramboids. The creatures reverse direction upon hitting obstacles but only survive about twenty minutes, so completing each level within a time limit is crucial. There are 20 distinct caverns, and each has its own password, allowing players to resume progress. Cavern layouts grow more complex over time, introducing moving blocks and maze-like designs.
