Rygar for the Atari Lynx is an adaptation of the arcade platformer originally developed by Tecmo. Players take the role of Rygar, a legendary warrior resurrected to fight against evil forces in a mythological world filled with monsters and traps.
Armed with the “Diskarmor,” a unique shield-like weapon attached to a chain, Rygar battles his way through side-scrolling stages with a mixture of combat and platforming. While simplified compared to its arcade or NES counterparts, the Lynx version preserves the core action and delivers responsive controls on the go.
