Year: 1982
Platform: Atari VCS

Ms. Pac-Man is a home console port of the arcade classic developed originally by Midway and General Computer Corporation. The Atari VCS version was released in 1982 and adapts the iconic maze gameplay for the hardware limitations of the 2600.

Players control Ms. Pac-Man navigating through a series of mazes that are populated by ghosts. The objective is to eat all the pellets in the maze while avoiding ghosts; power pellets allow Ms. Pac-Man to temporarily eat the ghosts. The maze layouts, ghost behaviors, and bonus items vary from level to level, increasing difficulty as the player progresses.

Graphics in this version are simplified: mazes are more basic in design, and sprite fidelity is reduced compared to the arcade original. Sound effects are minimal, limited to basic tones when eating pellets or being caught by ghosts. Despite these limitations, the gameplay retains much of the charm and pacing of the original.
