Mr. Do! is an action maze game developed by Universal and published by Coleco for the ColecoVision console in 1983. It is a home adaptation of Universal’s 1982 arcade game, featuring the character Mr. Do, a clown who must collect cherries scattered throughout underground tunnels while avoiding enemies known as creeps.
The gameplay involves digging tunnels through dirt to collect cherries and defeat enemies using a bouncing power ball. Players can strategically trap and eliminate enemies, while also racing against time to clear each level. The game increases in difficulty as the player advances, introducing new enemy types and more complex tunnel systems.
The ColecoVision version replicates much of the arcade original’s colorful graphics and responsive controls, though with some simplifications due to hardware constraints. The game’s blend of action, strategy, and timing made it a popular choice among early 1980s home console players.
