Description:
SABA Videoplay Videocart 6: Magische Zahlen, also known as Videocart 8: Magic Numbers, is a video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F console, released in 1977. This cartridge features two distinct games: Mind Reader and Nim, both designed to engage players in numerical and strategic thinking.
In Mind Reader, the console selects a random number with 2 to 5 digits, depending on the player’s choice. The player has 20 attempts to guess the number, with feedback provided after each guess indicating how many digits are correct and in the correct position. The objective is to reach 100 points before the computer does. An alternative mode replaces the number of attempts with a time limit, adding a different layer of challenge.
Nim is a single-player adaptation of the traditional two-player game. The screen displays 3, 6, or 9 piles, each containing 1 to 15 elements. The player and the console take turns removing at least one element from a single pile per turn. The player who removes the last element wins the round. Points are awarded for each round won, and the goal is to accumulate 100 points. A time-limited mode is also available, increasing the points awarded per round.
