Frogger

Genre: Action
Developer: Konami
Publisher: Parker Brothers
Year: 1983
Platform: Intellivision

Frogger is an action game developed by Konami and published by Parker Brothers for the Intellivision in 1983. It is a port of the 1981 arcade game of the same name. The objective is to guide a frog across a busy road and a hazardous river to reach one of five homes at the top of the screen.

The game consists of two main sections: crossing the road and crossing the river. In the road section, the player must navigate the frog through lanes filled with moving vehicles, such as cars and trucks, while avoiding collisions. In the river section, the player must use logs, turtles, and other floating objects to reach the top, avoiding hazards like snakes and otters.

Players start with three frogs and lose a life if the frog is hit by a vehicle, falls into the river, or runs out of time. The game progresses to the next level after all five homes are filled, with increased difficulty in subsequent levels.

The Intellivision version features two-player alternating gameplay, allowing players to take turns guiding their frogs to safety. The game includes a time limit for each level, adding an element of urgency to the gameplay.
