The Electric Company Math Fun is an educational video game developed by APh Technological Consulting and published by Mattel Electronics for the Intellivision in 1979. The game is designed to help players practice basic arithmetic skills in a jungle-themed environment. Players control a gorilla navigating through the jungle, encountering various creatures that present math problems.

The gameplay involves answering math problems correctly to continue progressing. If a player answers incorrectly, their gorilla character falls into a river and must answer another question correctly to resume. The game features eighteen different difficulty levels, which can be set individually for each player, allowing for tailored challenges based on the player’s skill level.

Math Fun supports both single-player and two-player modes, enabling cooperative or competitive play. The game’s design aims to make learning math engaging and interactive, using the Intellivision’s capabilities to create an immersive educational experience. The game’s inclusion of various difficulty levels ensures that players can gradually improve their arithmetic skills.

The game was part of a series of educational titles released by Mattel Electronics, which also included The Electric Company Word Fun. These games were developed in collaboration with the Children’s Television Workshop, aiming to provide educational content through interactive entertainment.
