Platform: Xbox 360

Eternal Sonata is a Japanese role-playing game developed by tri-Crescendo and released for Xbox 360 in 2007. The game presents a unique narrative premise, taking place in the dream world of composer Frédéric Chopin during the final hours of his life. Blending historical references with fantasy storytelling, the game follows Chopin and a cast of original characters on a journey through a richly stylized world.

The gameplay is divided between exploration, dialogue-driven story segments, and combat. Battles utilize a hybrid system that combines turn-based and action elements, where players can move characters freely within a limited area during their turn. The combat system is influenced by light and shadow, with different attacks and abilities becoming available depending on the lighting conditions on the battlefield.

The visual style is heavily inspired by classical European art, with cel-shaded graphics and vibrant, pastel-colored environments. Music plays a central role, featuring a soundtrack composed by Motoi Sakuraba and several piano pieces by Frédéric Chopin himself, performed by pianist Stanislav Bunin.
