Genre: Action role-playing / Fighting
Developer: Dimps
Publisher: Bandai Namco Games
Year: 2015
Platform: Xbox One

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse is a hybrid fighting and role-playing game where the player creates their own character to join the Time Patrol. The story revolves around an altered timeline in which villains interfere with major battles from the Dragon Ball saga, and the player must step in to restore chronological order.

Gameplay takes place in 3D arenas with full movement, including the ability to fly. Combat combines melee attacks, signature energy blasts, and defensive mechanics using stamina and ki. The game features both single-player story missions and a variety of multiplayer battle modes.

A central feature is the character creation system, which allows players to design their own fighter from several races, including Saiyans, Majins, Humans, Namekians, and the Frieza Race. Progression includes leveling up, learning new abilities, and acquiring costumes and accessories to further customize the fighter.

The Xbox One version includes the same content as other platforms, with improvements in graphical fidelity compared to the previous console generation. The game received generally positive reviews, with praise for its unique narrative premise, fan service, and character customization. Criticism was directed at repetitive mission structures and long loading times.
