Rayman Legends is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and released for Xbox One in 2014. It is a sequel to Rayman Origins and continues the series’ signature hand-drawn visual style, fluid animations, and fast-paced platforming.
The game follows Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies as they travel through magical worlds to rescue captured creatures and defeat various enemies. Each level is uniquely themed, including medieval castles, underwater worlds, and musical stages synchronized to well-known songs.
Gameplay involves running, jumping, gliding, wall-climbing, and defeating enemies across more than 120 levels. In certain stages, the player also controls Murfy, a helper character that manipulates the environment to solve puzzles or clear obstacles. The game supports local cooperative multiplayer for up to four players.
The Xbox One version includes enhanced graphics and faster loading times compared to previous-generation versions. It also features additional content, including exclusive costumes and challenges. Rayman Legends emphasizes replayability, with collectibles, time trials, and daily/weekly online challenges.
