Æon Flux is a third-person action-adventure game based on the 2005 live-action film and the original animated series of the same name. Set in a dystopian future in the year 2415, the story follows Æon, an elite operative working for an underground resistance group fighting against a totalitarian regime in the city of Bregna.
Gameplay consists of a mix of fast-paced combat, acrobatic platforming, and stealth sequences. Players use Æon’s agility to perform wall runs, flips, and advanced hand-to-hand combat techniques, as well as ranged attacks with futuristic weaponry. The game includes several levels inspired by scenes from the film and offers cinematic cutscenes to advance the narrative.
Æon Flux was built using the same engine as BloodRayne 2, also developed by Terminal Reality. It incorporates both visual and narrative elements from the film, including voice work and character likenesses based on the movie adaptation.
