Enter the Matrix is a third-person action game developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Atari for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Windows in 2003. Released alongside The Matrix Reloaded, the game was developed in coordination with the Wachowskis and features a storyline that runs parallel to the film, expanding on the universe with exclusive scenes and characters.

Players control either Ghost or Niobe, two secondary characters from the film series, across a shared campaign that blends martial arts combat, gunplay, and driving segments. Each character has unique animations and perspectives, offering slightly different experiences. Gameplay includes hand-to-hand combat inspired by the films, bullet-time mechanics, and cinematic stunts.

The Xbox version benefits from smoother frame rates and sharper visuals compared to some other platforms, along with analog control enhancements. In addition to combat-focused levels, the game features hacking mini-games and unlockable content accessed through a command-line interface, mimicking the aesthetics of the Matrix universe.

Enter the Matrix received mixed reviews upon release. Critics praised its ambitious integration with the films, its cinematic presentation, and original footage featuring the movie cast. However, it was also criticized for technical issues, repetitive gameplay, and lack of polish. The Xbox version holds a Metacritic score of 72/100.
