Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a first-person and third-person action game set in the Star Wars universe. Developed by Raven Software and published by LucasArts, it continues the story of Kyle Katarn, a former Jedi Knight who has abandoned the Force after previous events. When a new threat emerges in the form of the Dark Jedi Desann, Kyle returns to action, rediscovering his connection to the Force and wielding his lightsaber once more.

The GameCube version, released in 2002 in North America and 2003 in Europe, retains the same core campaign as the PC original but features adapted controls for the console. Players engage in both ranged combat with blasters and close-quarters lightsaber duels, as well as using Force powers such as Push, Pull, and Lightning. Levels are set across familiar Star Wars locations, including Cloud City and the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.

Multiplayer modes are included in the GameCube release, supporting split-screen battles in various game types. The title received generally positive reviews for its story and combat variety, though some critics noted that the controls and visuals were slightly less refined than on the PC version.
