The Gold edition combines the original RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 with its expansion packs Soaked! and Wild!, offering additional rides, attractions, water park elements, and themed scenery. Gameplay includes a fully 3D environment, allowing players to view and interact with rides from multiple angles. The game provides detailed tools for roller coaster design, including loops, corkscrews, and custom track segments, as well as water rides, shops, and decorative elements. The visitor AI reacts to ride excitement, nausea, and park amenities, requiring players to balance entertainment and operational efficiency.
The Gold edition offers scenario-based challenges and sandbox mode, allowing players to either complete objectives under time or budget constraints or freely build their ideal park. Management systems track park finances, staff efficiency, guest happiness, and ride safety, providing a strategic layer to complement creative design. Players can also enter first-person “CoasterCam” or free-roaming modes to experience rides from a visitor’s perspective.
