Wings of Glory is a World War I combat flight simulator developed by Origin Systems and published by Electronic Arts in 1995. Utilizing Origin’s RealSpace engine, the game offers players a first-person perspective of aerial combat during the Great War. Players begin as a novice American pilot stationed in England, progressing through various missions that involve dogfights, reconnaissance, and bombing runs.

The game features a variety of historically accurate aircraft, including the Sopwith Pup, each with unique handling characteristics. Missions are designed to be immersive, requiring players to take off, complete objectives, and return to base. The inclusion of a “Gauntlet mode” allows players to face endless waves of enemy aircraft, testing their endurance and skill.

In addition to the main campaign, Wings of Glory offers a mission designer, enabling players to create custom scenarios. The game’s emphasis on realism is evident in its flight dynamics and attention to detail, providing an authentic World War I aerial combat experience.
