Publisher: Acclaim Entertainment
Year: 2000
Platform: Sega Dreamcast

Fur Fighters places players in control of a team of six colorful, anthropomorphic animal commandos dedicated to rescuing their kidnapped families. The evil General Viggo has abducted the babies of the Fur Fighters, scattering them across diverse and expansive 3D environments. Players must explore these large levels, solving puzzles and fighting off hordes of Stupid Bears to recover their missing kin.

Each Fur Fighter character offers unique abilities and combat styles, encouraging players to switch characters strategically to overcome obstacles and reach hidden areas. The gameplay is a blend of third-person shooting, platforming, and light puzzle-solving, with a heavy emphasis on exploration and collection. The game features a variety of weapons, both ranged and melee, and each character has a distinctive close-range attack animation.

Visually, Fur Fighters offers bright, whimsical graphics that contrast the intense action, all rendered smoothly on Dreamcast hardware. The level design is vast, encouraging thorough exploration and replayability to find all the babies and secrets. The game also includes multiplayer modes, allowing for competitive play in themed arenas with up to 16 players over LAN or internet.
