Power Stone is a unique 3D fighting game set in the 19th century, where fighters from around the world compete to find the legendary Power Stones that grant any wish. Unlike traditional fighting games, Power Stone features freely roaming combatants in multi-level arenas filled with interactive objects and hazards. Players can pick up and use various weapons like swords, guns, and flamethrowers, or use environmental elements such as tables and barrels to attack opponents.

The game’s signature mechanic revolves around collecting three different colored Power Stones scattered throughout each arena. Once a player gathers all three stones, their character transforms into a more powerful version with devastating new moves and special attacks that can quickly turn the tide of battle. Matches follow a best-of-three rounds format with life bars represented by gems.

Visually, Power Stone boasts colorful and vibrant anime-style graphics, smooth animations, and diverse stages that include destructible elements and multi-tier platforms. The game’s cast features eight initial fighters with distinct fighting styles and two unlockable characters, adding variety and replayability.

Power Stone was praised for its innovative gameplay, fun multiplayer modes, and fluid combat, making it one of the standout fighting games on Dreamcast. Its unique combination of exploration and combat set it apart in the fighting genre, earning a lasting legacy among fans and critics alike.
