Sega GT is a simulation racing game developed by Wow Entertainment and TOSE, and published by Sega for the Dreamcast. Released in Japan as “Sega GT: Homologation Special” on August 29, 2000, the game aimed to compete with Sony’s Gran Turismo series, offering a more realistic driving experience on Sega’s console. A Microsoft Windows version was released the following year, expanding the game’s reach beyond the Dreamcast platform.

The game features over 130 cars from various manufacturers, including Dodge, Ford, Toyota, and Mitsubishi. Players can participate in races across 22 different tracks, earning prize money to purchase new vehicles and upgrade existing ones. The Championship Mode allows players to compete in a series of events, progressing through different levels and unlocking new content as they advance.

Sega GT also includes a car creation mode, where players can build custom vehicles from scratch using acquired parts or modify existing ones. This feature adds depth to the gameplay, allowing for a personalized racing experience. Additionally, the game supports multiplayer racing, enabling players to compete against each other in split-screen mode.
