Digital Dance Mix Vol. 1: Namie Amuro is a music and rhythm simulation game developed by Sega AM2 and published by Sega exclusively in Japan in 1997. The game stars pop icon Namie Amuro and features two of her popular songs from the album Sweet 19 Blues: “Chase the Chance” and “You’re My Sunshine.”

The game centers on a virtual performance mode where players can choose the song, customize Amuro’s outfit and stage, and manipulate the camera to follow her choreography. A karaoke-style mode allows players to sing along by displaying lyrics while muting Amuro’s vocals. Additionally, there is a “Presents” section containing four mini-games—a rhythm match, a card memory game, a puzzle, and a maze navigation challenge—as well as access to Namie Amuro’s profile and discography.

Produced by the renowned Yu Suzuki, the title is noted for its advanced 3D character model of Namie Amuro, which was animated via motion capture. The game made use of AM2’s custom TrueMotion video compression to deliver smooth real-time animation on Sega Saturn hardware.
