Sentimental Graffiti is a dating simulation game developed and published by NEC Interchannel for the Sega Saturn. The game follows the story of a Japanese high school student who, after receiving an anonymous letter expressing a desire to meet him, embarks on a journey to reconnect with twelve girls from various cities where he previously attended school. The objective is to determine which of these girls sent the letter and to explore potential romantic relationships with them.
The gameplay is structured around the player’s interactions with the twelve heroines, each representing a different city. Players can choose various means of transportation, such as trains, planes, and boats, to travel between cities and visit specific locations within them. The backgrounds are digitized photos of real locations in Japan, while the characters are depicted in hand-drawn anime-style illustrations. This approach combines elements of adventure and simulation genres, allowing players to experience a narrative-driven journey with multiple branching paths.
In addition to the main game, a supplementary disc titled Sentimental Graffiti: First Window was released. This disc serves as an interactive multimedia introduction to the twelve heroines, featuring audition videos, behind-the-scenes footage, and detailed character profiles. It also includes a 12-month calendar, each month highlighting one of the heroines, providing fans with additional content and deeper insight into the characters before the main game’s release.
