007 Legends is a first-person shooter developed by Eurocom and published by Activision, released for the PlayStation 3 in 2012. The game was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise, and features missions inspired by six Bond films: Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, Die Another Day, and Skyfall (the latter added as downloadable content).
Players assume the role of James Bond, portrayed in-game by Daniel Craig, as they progress through reimagined scenes from each of the selected films. Gameplay includes a mix of shooting, stealth, melee combat, and gadget usage, along with brief vehicle segments. The PS3 version also includes online multiplayer modes and support for PlayStation Move controls.
007 Legends received mostly negative reviews from critics. Common criticisms included uninspired level design, underwhelming AI, and lack of polish in both visuals and gameplay mechanics. While some appreciated the attempt to connect multiple films in one narrative, the execution was generally seen as lacking. Metacritic reflects low average scores for the PlayStation 3 version.
The game was released for multiple platforms, but the PS3 version stood out for its optional motion control support and access to the full DLC content, including the Skyfall mission.
