Crysis 3 is a first-person shooter developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts. Released in 2013, it is the third main installment in the Crysis series and continues the story of Prophet (Laurence Barnes), who returns to a post-apocalyptic New York City. The city has been overgrown by nature and sealed inside a massive Nanodome controlled by the corrupt C.E.L.L. Corporation. Prophet must use his advanced Nanosuit and weaponry to stop both the alien Ceph and the corporation’s plans for domination.

Gameplay combines stealth and open combat, allowing players to approach objectives with different tactics. The Nanosuit provides powers such as cloaking and armor enhancement, and the addition of the Predator Bow allows for silent and powerful ranged attacks. The game includes both a single-player campaign and a competitive multiplayer mode supporting up to twelve players.

The PlayStation 3 version contains the same narrative and gameplay content as the other console and PC releases but operates with performance and visual limitations typical of the console generation. While the PS3 edition features slightly lower resolution and frame rate compared to the PC version, it maintains the series’ strong visual presentation and fluid combat mechanics.

Upon release, Crysis 3 received generally positive reviews. Critics praised its graphics, atmosphere, and the flexibility of its combat systems, while some expressed disappointment with the short campaign length and technical issues present in the console versions. Despite this, the game was recognized as a visually impressive conclusion to the trilogy.
