Diablo III is an action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Originally launched on PC in 2012, the PlayStation 3 version was released in 2013 and brought the franchise to consoles with a redesigned control scheme and interface optimized for gamepad use. Set in the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary, the game follows players as they battle demonic forces threatening humanity.

The PlayStation 3 version features the full base game, including all five original character classes: Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor, and Wizard. Players can engage in single-player or cooperative multiplayer modes, with support for up to four players locally or online. Gameplay emphasizes fast-paced combat, loot collection, and character progression through randomized dungeons and quests.

Unique to the console version is the reworked user interface and inventory system, designed to streamline navigation with a controller. The game also removes the always-online requirement present in the PC version, allowing full offline play. Trophy support is included, and the PS3 version allows drop-in/drop-out co-op play on the same screen or online.

Diablo III received favorable reviews on PlayStation 3, with praise for the quality of its adaptation to console and its cooperative gameplay. Critics noted that the game retained its core mechanics while delivering an accessible and polished experience on the platform. According to Metacritic, the PS3 version holds strong review scores.
