Platform: PlayStation 3

LEGO Batman: The Video Game is an original story-driven action-adventure game that combines the LEGO franchise’s signature humor and platforming with the characters and setting of the Batman universe. Unlike previous LEGO games that adapted movie narratives, this title features a completely new storyline written specifically for the game. Developed by Traveller’s Tales, it was released for multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 3.

The game is divided into two campaigns: one where players control Batman and Robin as they attempt to stop a breakout at Arkham Asylum, and another where players control the villains executing their escape plans. Each campaign is further divided into three chapters, and each chapter contains five levels. The PS3 version allows for local two-player cooperative gameplay, with drop-in/drop-out functionality.

There are 30 playable levels in total, with over 40 characters from the Batman universe becoming unlockable as the story progresses. Players can utilize a wide range of gadgets, suits, and vehicles. Batman and Robin each have access to specialized suits that grant new abilities, such as gliding, demolition, or magnetic walking. The game encourages exploration and replaying levels in Free Play mode to collect hidden items and unlock new characters.

The PlayStation 3 version offers high-definition graphics and smooth performance but is otherwise functionally identical to versions on other platforms. Critical reception was generally positive, with praise for the variety of content, humor, and cooperative gameplay, although some noted a lack of innovation compared to earlier LEGO titles.
