Lollipop Chainsaw is an action hack-and-slash game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published internationally by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, with Kadokawa Games handling the Japanese release. The game follows Juliet Starling, a high school cheerleader who battles hordes of zombies with a chainsaw while trying to save her boyfriend and the world from a zombie outbreak.

Gameplay combines fast-paced melee combat with combo attacks and juggling enemies in mid-air. Players can switch between offensive and defensive moves, and utilize Juliet’s cheerleading skills to regain health and increase damage. The game also features boss battles, diverse enemy types, and platforming sections interspersed with action sequences.

The PlayStation 3 version features stylized cel-shaded graphics, a vibrant color palette, and a tongue-in-cheek narrative full of pop culture references and dark humor. It supports single-player mode exclusively and includes various unlockables and collectibles that enhance replayability.

Upon release, Lollipop Chainsaw received mixed to positive reviews. Critics praised its unique tone, character design, and entertaining combat mechanics, while some noted inconsistent difficulty and uneven pacing. The game gained a cult following for its distinct style and irreverent humor.
