Deep Six is an underwater shooter game developed for the Tomy Tutor home computer. The game supports one or two players playing alternately as a diver hunting for treasure beneath the sea. The diver is equipped with a harpoon gun with unlimited ammo; however, air supply is limited and depletes over time, adding urgency to the gameplay.
The game is divided into three screen segments. The first two screens task the player with clearing the area of small fish and jellyfish, respectively. Larger enemies also appear, which can be shot to earn bonus points. The final segment contains the treasure guarded by giant octopi, which cannot be killed but can be temporarily stunned. Securing the treasure grants bonus points before the game restarts with increased difficulty.
Deep Six features simple but engaging gameplay mechanics. The harpoon is the primary means of offense, and players must navigate threats carefully while conserving air supply. The alternating two-player mode allows players to compete for the highest score.
