Scramble is a horizontally scrolling shooter developed by Konami and published by General Consumer Electronics for the Vectrex in 1983. The player pilots a spacecraft navigating through multiple side-scrolling levels filled with terrain obstacles, enemy ships, and missiles. The objective is to survive by shooting enemies and collecting fuel tanks to prevent running out of fuel, blending reflex shooting with resource management.

The Vectrex version utilizes vector graphics to deliver smooth, minimalist visuals emphasizing the game’s fast-paced action. Controls are designed for precise movement and shooting, with levels becoming progressively more difficult, featuring tunnels and missile launchers as hazards. The gameplay requires quick adaptation and focused skill.

Scramble was originally an arcade game and has been released on numerous platforms beyond the Vectrex, including Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum, among others. The Vectrex version is one of many adaptations of this classic title, tailored to the system’s unique vector display technology.
